Love the hat in # 4 and love the part about a 2 hour lunch.
Had a GI doc ask me once why he had so many nurse patients that had bowel problems. I looked at him and said “Well, if you have to go to the bathroom and someone isn’t breathing, which do you attend to first?” (I didn’t say anything about the ‘taking 10 mninutes to eat cheetos for lunch or the downing a can of Ensure at 2100 because you didn’t get dinner or…)You can’t hit them with a stick, but you would really like to.

I’m in my first semester of nursing and Pharmacology is one of the current classes I’m taking. I’m so printing this and giving it to my nursing professor.
This really made me laugh – keep them coming
Love it!!!!!
love this one. it’s true too. A successfull night is that my patients are still a live by the morning!!
A successful shift is one that no one died, no one got put in restraints, and you lived through it.
Loved all cards n where can I get them?
Loved them all!Where can I purchase them!
Many years ago I had a surgical intern w/me while I was inserting a foley cath–I had a little contest going on with the interns. I could insert them so quickly and do the surgical prep but if the interns wanted to they only had two minutes—then I took over–too much wasted time—this was on a female—when I asked him if he knew how to “do this”?–he said, “yep, I’m married!”.
I THOUGHT I WOULD FALL OVER!! I gently told him that he was thinking about the wrong “orifice”.
(It took him longer than two minutes–I took over…..)

Love this one!!! i found a tee shirt once that said “Nurses; we are here to save your a%% not kiss it!” Now dont get me wrong, i love love love being a nurse, but sometimes there is that one patient or family member that stretches your last ounce of patience!!! I always try to remember to look at it from their side of the table!
