I guess this article assumes everyone has an iphone.
i love sigalert.com. Traffic report also more detailed if problems are accidents, hazards, etc. Will then go into detail if injury accident, CHP or ambulance responding.
If hazard, will tell if box, etc on road. Also where they have camera, will show pics, and MPH at certain on/off ramps.
I ‘ve had my iPhone less than 2 weeks so I don’t have many apps yet, but already I like “Flashlight”. Have used it several times, like walking to my car at night and searching in my purse before the play starts.
Another fun one is “Magic Piano” by smule. It would be even easier on an iPad, but the freestyle playing is as much fun as the songbook.

My employer does not allow us to use our phone at work. People have been fired on the spot by the top management when caught texting. Or so the rumor goes. However, there are many times I use my iphone on the job. Just recently had to look up the phone number of an out of town physician. I was able to look it up faster using safari on my phone than my coworker using the a t and t phone book on a unit computer. I also use my phone at work to look up medical info.
