Minn. nurses protest health care cuts

Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has moved to eliminate the General Assistance Medical Care program which provides health care services for more than 30,000 low-income adults. According to twincities.com:

[Minnesota Nurses Association] Union President Linda Slattengren says ending the GAMC program will devastate health care for the poorest and most vulnerable people.

Nurses from the union along with supporters will march to the governor’s office to protest the spending cuts.
