Overcoming mistakes

We all know the old adage that with great power comes great responsibility. Indeed, nurses can perform incredible, life-saving work. However, on the other (slightly more terrifying) side of the coin, when mistakes are made, the well-being of the patient is often at stake. And mistakes will be made, because nurses are human, too.

In this week’s episode of “The Sean Dent Show” on ScrubsBeat, Sean offers his two cents on not only overcoming, but also growing from, those inevitable slips. Have some wisdom of your own? Please, share it with us in the comments section below!

Great message. Applies to all in healthcare. This is wisdom imo.

Way to go Sean. Be honest. The people who scare me the most are the people who hide mistakes, lie about mistakes, or don’t do the job in the first place, then lie and say they did do it. Those people scare me the most. We all make mistakes, and fortunately, most of them are caught either before done, right when done, soon after. Educate, don’t berate. Keep on trekkin’ Sean!
