@Karen: 1st, I've never seen any "see through" scrubs, and secondly, the solution to your problem is easy: there are these clothing items called shirts and jackets, so you can pick: under or over? I bet you also complain to management about being cold too, while the rest of us are sweating. Bottom line: if you always "freeze all the time," wear more clothes, cause us hotties can't take any more off!

I have to agree with AL.Thankfully I have a wife who is a good seamstress (and enjoys it!) so I have several scrub shirts with prints that aren't the typical "male" stuff (i.e., camo, fishing/hunting, etc..er. uh, wait, that's about it..sigh...unless I want SpongeBob or something, which I would if I was on a peds unit). I have a black with hot peppers (kinda cool and different), a light blue with a sort of tiki pattern, a green junglescape with lizards and geckos, and a killer lightning pattern ala Metallica "Ride The Lightning" (minus the electric chair of course LOL). I opted against the skull-and-crossbones fabric of course, but look forward to having more custom-made scrubs. However this isn't available/possible for every guy (although my wife would gladly take orders LOL). Not to mention the fact that I don't think that last black one with the frilly edges and cinched bodice would be too terribly flattering on me...

Yay Kelly! You're so right about the under 5'2" woman and every single scrub top too long and pulling at the hip.
I also wish there were more designs on softer material...some of those scrubs are oh-so-itchy and starchy.

Nice idea for an article but we male nurses get 2 choices? Green and black? Really??? When are the scrub makers (and you writers) going to realize that men like colors and fashionable scrubs too? I wear boot cut jeans on my days off, why wouldn't I want boot cut scrubs, in colors besides navy blue or black?

Would someone please design scrub tops for the petite woman? Now that the style is longer tops, I having an impossible time finding something that fits - especially if it is the least bit fitted. The waist is down about my hips. Women under 5' 2" have approximately 7 inches between their waist and hip not the 9 inches of our taller comrades. Scrub makers please take note......

We've noticed a trend towards color by discipline for nursing scrubs. We make the most this practice by offering a one stop shop for hospitals at SuiteStyles.com
