To post or not to post?

SOCIAL MEDIA DOs

Make it a good habit. A healthy social media habit can mean checking in with a couple of favorite blogs or Twitter feeds during your day; we recommend a blog or Twitter feed that makes you laugh or has a voice that speaks to you. Most blogs allow you to sign up to receive an email every time that blogger posts something new, so there’s no need to keep checking their site for updates—just open your email and there they are. Leave a comment in support of the blogger; let the blogger know that his or her post touched you. It creates positive karma and encourages nurses to keep sharing and discussing important issues in a safe, positive way on the Internet.

Facebook can also be a great source for support—for example, let your nursing school friends and coworkers know about your upcoming exam. The outpouring of good wishes will give you a nice confidence boost right when you need it.
